I teach slow flow yoga classes in my backyard overlooking beautiful Presque Ile and Lake Erie. I love a soulful yoga flow that challenges both body and mind. I have completed 100-hour Vinyasa training and will complete a 200-hour Hatha yoga training in October 2020; and I am also currently enrolled in a Yin yoga training!
Expect a focus on breath work, an inspiring theme or inspiration to focus on, some movement and some longer held postures, including a nice long savasana and some guided meditation.
I have a deep respect for the ancient origins of yoga and do my best to respect its history! And I also believe that yoga can be deeply enjoyed by all body types, shapes, sizes and ages. So if you're thinking "I don't know if I can do yoga," I'm here to tell you that YES YOU CAN!
I have practiced yoga in many forms since around 2004, having worked at Lululemon and practiced at studios in various provinces and states, including Nova Scotia (my home province), Ontario, Montreal, BC, as well as California, Minnesota, North Carolina, Florida, Chicago, and even visited an Ashram in Nassau, Bahamas. I would love to share my love of yoga with you and practice together! I am also mother to three and I get how our bodies can change over time. Every time you get on your mat is a new yoga practice!
When you come to my yoga classes, you just come around to my backyard at 1508 South Shore. These days we wear masks until we are on our mats. Let's flow!
